ASUS PadFone is a combination of smartphone and tablet from ASUS that was released in Taiwan last April 20. Despite its April release in Taiwan, the device has been plagued by delays due to problems in the production of the Snapdragon S4 processor of Qualcomm. The processor that is used on the ASUS PadFone is reportedly high on the demand list among large smartphone manufacturers since it is considered as the best processor for the mobile devices by computing device makers around the world.
However, various media reports indicate that the ASUS PadFone may soon be released in other markets outside of Taiwan. The ASUS PadFone with its docking station, headset and stylus will reportedly become available in Hong Kong, Singapore, and a number of European countries. The ASUS PadFone features a Super AMOLED screen that measures 4.3 inches, a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor of Qualcomm, 1GB RAM and can be positioned into a tablet measuring 10.1 inches.
The connectivity options of the ASUS PadFone include HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0, and HDMI out. The device uses the latest Android version, the Android 4.0 or the Ice Cream Sandwich Android.
